Two Great Talents Reunite for Book Projects
Fr. Gilbert and Janet Frances White
NEW YORK:Gilbert Luis R. Centina III has reunited with Janet Frances White, a New York graphic designer, for his book projects. He has chosen Ms. White to design the covers of his latest books and future works, starting with Somewhen, which marks his return to poetry writing after a long hiatus.
Father Gilbert and Ms. White had previously collaborated in redesigning Search, a journal on St. Augustine that Father Gilbert had edited for several years. Ms. White redesigned the journal when it was relaunched in the summer of 2003 and oversaw its layout until Father Gilbert relinquished his editorship in 2005.
After completing her studies in graphic design, Ms. White cut her teeth in book publishing at Bantam Books in New York City. For many years after she had left the company, she worked at different newspaper publications on Long Island, producing several publications that included Newsday and penny savers. Currently, she works in advertising at the world's leading Wall Street publication in New York.
