Father Gilbert Writes Foreword for His Father's Book
NEW YORK: Father Gilbert has written the foreword to the book authored by his late father, which was released on April 15. The book, Almost on the Carpet was posthumously published eight months after his father's death in July 2015.
It recounts the personal experiences of Father Gilbert's father, Luis T. Centina Jr., during his days as a guerrilla leader fighting against the Japanese invaders under the U.S. flag from 1941-1946. In his foreword, Father Gilbert narrates how he and his siblings cope with his parents' deaths seven months after each other. He hopes the book will encourage young people to seek ways of peace instead of conflict in their personal lives and the world at large. Amazon offers a "look inside" feature, enabling readers to read the foreword. Click on the "Look inside" icon and cursor through the pages until you see the "Foreword" page.
