NEW YORK: Half a dozen Spanish poems of Fr. Gilbert—"Llamar a los mozos," "Hay sombras," "Ars poética," "Infancia en duda," "Distraído" and "Canción de cuna"—visually dominate seven pages of Rincón Literaria (Literary Corner) in this year's edition of EPA PORTU ANUARIO Número 14, an annual publication published by Centro de Educación de Personas Adultas de Portugalete (C.E.P.A. Portugalete). C.E.P.A is a school in Spain's Basque Country which has won plaudits for its progressive education programs, including an extraordinary citation from the Spanish government last year. The artwork that accompanies ¨Canción de cuna¨ is done by Louella Centina Garnado, younger sister of Fr. Gilbert. The annual publication also carries the message of Portugalete Mayor Mike Torres. EPA PORTU is edited by Ana María Romo de Miguel, the school director.
